Cathy Gilham is a graduate of the University of Chicago's school of Social Services Administration masters program. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for the states of Illinois and Indiana. Mrs. Gilham is a Certified Alcohol and Other Drug Counselor. (CADC) Cathy Gilham has supervised the work of graduate level clinicians since 1998. She also provides field instruction for clinicians in graduate level programs. Since 1996, she has provided psychotherapy for individuals, children, adolescents, families and couples. She conducts trainings and workshops on parenting, substance abuse, mental health (assessment, diagnosis and treatment planing for adolescent and adult clientele. Cathy Gilham has provided Effective Parenting instruction for women in Kankakee Minimum Security Prison and counseling for pastoral referrals. Ms. Gilham is a certified mediator for Lake County Indiana.
Dr. Gilham is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Illinois. He specializes in marriage counseling. He conducts workshops in Blended Families, Infidelity, Marital Communication, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, among many others. His dissertation is What African American Couples Believe make Marital Counseling Effective. Dr. Gilham holds a doctorate in Counseling Psychology. He teaches courses in Community Counseling, Couples and Family Counseling, and Practicum and Internship at Argosy University.
